Week (or two) in photos!

Sorry I've been lacking in posts a little this week, I've been so busy! Started my new job on monday so I've been training everyday this week. Today is the 6th day in a row I've worked, and I still have 2 more to go (as I've still got my weekend job too!). So on saturday that will be 8 days in a row.. I know some people are used to working that much but I'm not used to it at all! But i have a day off on sunday thankfully! Then starting it all over again on monday.. god knows when my next day off will be after that! Okay i'm blabbing on a bit now.. Basically my point is.. I haven't got much time to take photos because it's dark by the time i get home :( but i will try and find more time when I get into more of a routine! For the time being i thought i'd share some instagram photos to show what I've been up to lately (apart from all the boring work stuff!). sorry it's mostly pictures of food and my boyfriend as I haven't had time to do much else recently! I'll try and get some reviews and stuff done soon when i get chance; i have a couple of ideas in mind for posts including an empties post which I haven't done before!

Christmas wishlist.

It's getting to that time of year again, to start thinking about what i want for Christmas! I actually bought my first present the other day, a book for my dad. It's quite an achievement for me as i usually do all my Christmas shopping about second week of December. I think i will try and be more organised this year (but then again i say that every year!). Now that halloween is almost out of the way.. which I'm not fussed about this year (probably just because I'm not doing anything for it..), everyone can begin getting excited for Christmas properly! So whilst browsing online i decided to have a look for things I might want for Christmas as family members have already started asking me!

First of all i really want some new Ugg boots. I know they aren't to everyone's taste but i love them. Comfort over fashion and all that! I'm thinking of getting these mini (extra short) ones for a change as opposed to the classic ones which I've had before. I think they're so cute! what are everyone's thoughts on uggs? I feel like people are pretty much over them now, I definitely don't see as many people with them nowadays.. but i don't care I love them! (obviously i think the fake versions can look really cheap and tacky.)

I got a lily flame candle a few years back for Christmas and i absolutely loved it! They are much nicer than Yankee candles in my opinion. I had a coffee one and it has actual coffee beans in and smelled absolutely insane. so so so nice! I think this Christmas spice one would be such a lovely smell for winter. I love the smell of cinnamon especially around Christmas time!

I love my Real techniques stippling brush so I've been thinking about getting another brush from the range. I want to try the blusher brush next I think so I might have to pop this on my Christmas list!

I really like the look of this dip hem skirt from Dorothy perkins. I've been loving all kinds of asymmetric / dip hem / maxi skirts for the past few months and I still absolutely adore them! i think this one is such a lovely colour. I think they look really classic and can be dressed up or down quite a bit, so I think I'd get a lot of wear out of something like this.. and for £26.00 it's not bad! 

Something I've been lusting after for a while.. the Urban decay Naked 2 palette. Obviously this is a product that's been discussed a lot in the blogging world. I've been wearing eyeshadow a lot more regularly the past few months and I'd really like to experiment with this palette. I've heard so many good things about it and i do think it's worth the price by the sound of it! I'll probably ask someone to buy me this for Christmas as i'd feel a bit guilty spending that much on eyeshadow for myself!

Things I've been loving lately.

I've been obsessed with essie nail polishes recently and this bright pink one 'I am strong' has been my favourite so far! I've been wearing it at every opportunity! i can't wait to get my hands on more colours from the essie range.

I'm absolutely in love with my leopard print cardigan from Internacionale (can't seem to find a link on the website).. anyway I've been wearing it daily. literally think I've worn it every single day since getting it! This one from Lavish alice looks really nice too I like that it's grey whereas my other one is beige and brown. I can never get enough of leopard print.. i know some people might think it's tacky but I love it.

This week i've been listening non stop to Taylor swift's new album 'Red'. (definitely listening to it even as i write this post..) I absolutely love it and she is perfection. that is all! My favourite tracks on the album so far are 'I knew you were trouble' and 'begin again'. what are your favourite tracks if you've been listening to it lately?

I blogged about this Mavala double lash a few weeks ago (view post here), I absolutely swear by it now and use it every single day.. can't recommend it enough, it's improved the length and thickness of my eyelashes so much. they are in better condition than they've ever been! I usually tend to wear this in the day time as well as overnight, some days if I don't feel like wearing lots of eye makeup.

Also, a little personal update... I got offered a job today! I'm so so so happy about it, I've been looking for months since finishing uni in june! It's with a marketing company :) and i start on monday! I will keep you all updated about how it goes!

I feel like i havent blogged in a while! I've been quite busy finishing off my last couple of assignments for uni, handed in my last ever one today so its bye bye uni.. FOREVER, eeek its pretty scary! I have also been planning a little trip... I can announce I am almost definitely going to Australia next year eeeee! To work there for a few months hopefully! Going to book it / put a deposit down tomorrow so its pretty definite, just as long as nothing drastically changes it should definitely happen! I think we are going in like February next year! I am so so excited! it will be life changing, I hope anyway! haha. Soo thats definitely the most exciting thing going on in my life right now.. for now i am just trying to save up as much money as I possibly can! which is not easy!

Basically my week in photos! Sorry if you follow my instagram and have already seen all of these but doing a post like this is just the easiest way of sharing photos! My week has involved spending a lot of money (almost £400 in total oops!) but its been a good week! Handed in my dissertation after what feels like months (maybe because it has been...), went out twice, and basically did a lot of shopping. Also made a potentially life changing decision but I'm keeping that under wraps for now!

Nude new look dress.

Thought i would share with you my new dress! I mentioned it in a post about a week ago and its finally arrived today. I got it from eBay but its originally from New Look. I think these are a very similar dress, but they don't seem to have this colour., and also mine appears to be slightly different. I'm tempted to buy it in another colour! I think it looks better with black tights as it was all a bit too much nude. However if i was tanned enough it may look better! I'm going to wear this for a night out i have planned in a couple of weeks :) Also my hair is looking super short here as i was trying out  my new heated rollers which I will probably review soon!

Got my student loan yesterday and ive definitely spend loads of it already! Had to fork out for printing and binding my dissertation, went on a little shopping trip for the necessary products haul including things like Sudocrem, toothpaste, facewash, all the basics! Got my eyebrows waxed and tinted, bought the heated rollers i just mentioned above, ate out TWICE in one day. Now i should probably calm down with my spending for a while!! ;)

So yeah, as you can see i haven't been doing much exciting at all! Had a very very boring Easter weekend! booo! In love with my new dress though might possibly do an outfit post when it arrives. I really need an event to wear it to though! :)

Bargain blue dress.

 

Thought i would share this little bargain that I picked up at Primark yesterday (yep...I'm a primark-aholic) it was a only £5 (reduced from £15) so I snapped it up. Its a dress but after trying it on I've found its really short on me so I'll probably wear it as a long top. I like the colour its really different than what I would usually go for, to be honest they had it in a coral colour which I preferred but they didn't have my size :( booo! I really like the beaded collar i think its a lovely detail! And the sleeves are long sleeved and made of a sort of chiffony material. Anyways just thought i'd share this little bargain with you all! For some reason my hair looks suuuuper grey here its not actually like that in real life!

Haven't blogged in a while!

I feel like I havent blogged in quite a while, ive been quite busy with a horrible 5,000 word essay plus the dreaded dissertation! Third year of uni is no fun. I have a couple of products in mind to review so I'll get round to that soon. 

Updates wise; I went out to Bredbury hall on friday night with the girls (a couple of photos above..) and i absolutely loved it, it was sort of how i expected it, and there were a lot of older people there, but I had a really good night and we were all that good amount of drunk where no one is too messy but you all have a good time...yeah that. I tried out a fishtail plait, it was my first time doing it on myself and i think it looks okay..you can sort of see it in the photos. I hate not wearing my extensions when i go out but they're getting a bit old and don't really match right now cause i'm trying to grow my hair out and get it looking more natural.. anyways! Apart from friday all ive been doing is working and doing uni work, the same old boring crap. Looking forward to uni being over to be honest, i'm sick of being a student now! (apart from the lie ins obviously.)

Anyway, theres a vague update for now and i'll get round to reviewing some stuff soon! Hope everyone is good :) also want to wish my beautiful best friend a happy 22nd birthday today!!! 

Updates.

Just a couple of updates from the last few days really! These are just a couple of instagram photos to show what I've been upto the last few days (so apologies for the crappy quality)!

The other night me and lucy made honey pecan muffins from scratch they were so good! She made them once before last year and Ive been bugging her to make them again ever since and we finally made them the other night, although she did most of the hard work! ;) i just made the honey sauce!

The next picture is my little car Barney when i took him in for repair the other day! You may be able to tell why hes called barney as I think he resembles Barney the dinosaur a little bit or maybe its just me? I think hes cute.. Anyways he needed the tyres balancing as they've been out of place for awhile ever since my dad changed a tyre, literally months ago! So i havent been able to go above 60 which is a nightmare on the motorway! So i'm glad its sorted now i can get back to zooming about!!;)

The next photo is me and luce yesterday when we went to see The woman in Black at the cinema. I think i was expecting it to be much scarier as everyone had hyped it up.. Dont get me wrong i was hiding behind my cardigan the whole time but it wasn't too bad i suppose. I reckon theres much scarier films, put it that way! Has anyone else seen it? what did you think?

Aaaaaand the last one is just something me and my boyfriend made the other night, literally the nicest meal ever i'm not even exaggerating! We made crispy chicken from scratch and used a teriyaki coating which was SO good! Then we had it with vermicelli noodles which we added sweet chilli sauce to and some vegetables. It was amazing we will definitely be making it again soon, or at least something similar!

Anyway thats what has been going on with me for the last couple of days! As well as this ive managed to finish an essay due in tomorrow, literally only remembered i had it on monday so I'm quite pleased i've managed to get it done already! Whether i will do well on it is another story..

Out with friends.

Thought I would do a bit of a different post for once and show something a little more personal! Went out last night in Manchester to Factory, we did intend to go to Rockbox as we've been once before and loved it but it was closed booo! So we went to factory instead! Its usually dead but last night was quite busy! I love the seats in factory that are like built into the floor they're pretty cool. It was nice to have my cousin out with me who's only just turned 18 so she can finally come out yay! We were doing shots of apple sours from egg cups as we don't have any shot glasses.(students all the way!!) Anyway it was an alright night, pretty standard really nothing special, it was nice to go out though as I havent been out in so long! Haven't drank since new years eve! Hope everyone is well and has a good weekend! and I'll be doing another review post soon!
