MAC Full Speed.

MAC Full Speed Sheen Supreme Lipstick - £13.50

This is the latest addition to my MAC collection. I seem to be obsessed with lip products at the moment and the amount of lipsticks, lip glosses and lip balms I have bought recently is getting out of hand! I definitely have enough to last me literally years. I'm absolutely in love with the colour of MAC full speed sheen supreme lipstick, it's a very bright pink, it's almost a reddy colour which I like as it stands out from many other pink shades.

What I really love about the 'sheen supreme' lipsticks is the finish - it's quite glossy which I definitely prefer over a matte finish. This is ideal as it means you don't need to apply a gloss over the top. I think this product is the perfect amount of colour and gloss. I'm 100% in love with it and would definitely recommend trying out the sheen supreme range if you are a fan of bright, pigmented colour with a glossy finish as opposed to a matte one. (ps: apologies for the bad photo of my lips, I wanted to show what the colour actually looks like but it was a rushed photo hence why it looks quite messy!)

Union Jack nails.

Union Jack glue on false nails - Primark £1.00

I spotted these in Primark last week and grabbed them straightaway to try as they were only £1.00! They were not the best quality but I kept them on for around 3 days. I was still impressed as I wouldnt expect high quality when only paying a pound. The glue that comes with the nails is very high strength and similar to glues I have used with previous glue on nails. This helped them to stay on and over the course of three days they never started to feel loose. The only problem was that they were not very thick quality, therefore became a little bendy and feel like they might break. Overall, for the price, I was impressed. There are 24 nails in the box so I will be able to wear them again too, definitely worth £1! I got a lot of compliments when wearing them and people couldnt believe they were from Primark! What do you think of them? :)

MAC Wee Coquette Lipglass.

MAC lipglass in 'Wee Coquette' - £13.00
As well as my other recent MAC purchases I picked up this one too. I like it because its an easy to wear colour, despite being a light, pale colour I don't feel it appears too pale on my lips. I think it will work well as a top coat over a similar shade of lipstick too. Overall I think it's an easy to wear colour, and will work most of the time for everyday use. However, I dont like this colour as much as the other MAC lipglasses I have tried, for example the Viva Glam Gaga lipglass (reviewed here), which I feel is a much nicer colour as well as consistency. Has anyone else tried Wee Coquette? Thoughts?

MAC goodies.

MAC mattene lipstick in Delectable - £13.50

MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipglass - £13.00

Mattene lipstick - delectable

Mattene lipstick - delectable with Viva glam gaga lipglass on top

Viva Glam Gaga liplass alone
I haven't tried many MAC products before, but recently I've splashed out on a few! I should really stop spending but I've been searching for a nude lip colour for a while and I think these two work. I'm absolutely in love with the Viva glam Gaga lipglass, it's the perfect nude colour Ive been looking for for so long! I think its such an easy colour to wear everyday, and will go with anything.

as for the 'Delectable' mattene lipstick, i love the corally colour but I'm not sure I would ever wear it alone. I'm not a fan of the matte finish, i much prefer a glossy finish. That's why I've included a photo of the Viva glam lip gloss over the top, I think this is a better look so I will probably combine the two, or otherwise I would probably add a clear gloss over the matte lipstick. Has anyone else tried either of these ?

Week in photos.

Basically my week in photos! Sorry if you follow my instagram and have already seen all of these but doing a post like this is just the easiest way of sharing photos! My week has involved spending a lot of money (almost £400 in total oops!) but its been a good week! Handed in my dissertation after what feels like months (maybe because it has been...), went out twice, and basically did a lot of shopping. Also made a potentially life changing decision but I'm keeping that under wraps for now!

From top left; graze box, lots of packages for me, trying out my new heated rollers, boyfriend's new memory foam bed, bop it!, celebratory dissertation-hand-in lunch, friday night at 42s, my finished dissertation!!, yogberries, shisha at sugar buddha, roast dinner, night out with channelle, union jack nails, strawberry and lime cider mm, makeup haul, friday's outfit (new asymmetric skirt!).

Sunkissed Sunlight bronze instant tanning mousse

Just a quick post to review my new favourite fake tan! I picked this up from Bodycare the other day for £2.49 which is pretty cheap compared to a lot of other tans. It's similar to the St Moriz mousse which i use quite often but I've gone off it a bit recently. I found the texture of this better than any other mousse tan I've tried before and it didnt leave streaks. It also smells nicer than a lot of other fake tans i have used before. So yeah i just wanted to recommend it to you all, it's definitely worth a try for the price! It can be used as an instant tan which is handy or it can be built up over a few applications. Has anyone else used this? What are your thoughts?

Nude new look dress.

Thought i would share with you my new dress! I mentioned it in a post about a week ago and its finally arrived today. I got it from eBay but its originally from New Look. I think these are a very similar dress, but they don't seem to have this colour., and also mine appears to be slightly different. I'm tempted to buy it in another colour! I think it looks better with black tights as it was all a bit too much nude. However if i was tanned enough it may look better! I'm going to wear this for a night out i have planned in a couple of weeks :) Also my hair is looking super short here as i was trying out  my new heated rollers which I will probably review soon!

Got my student loan yesterday and ive definitely spend loads of it already! Had to fork out for printing and binding my dissertation, went on a little shopping trip for the necessary products haul including things like Sudocrem, toothpaste, facewash, all the basics! Got my eyebrows waxed and tinted, bought the heated rollers i just mentioned above, ate out TWICE in one day. Now i should probably calm down with my spending for a while!! ;)

Spending money before I've even got it.

Today's purchases.. My flatmate gets stuff discounted as she works in duty free at the airport. So i put my order in today as she has to put it through at work over the weekend and then it takes 2 weeks to arrive. I get my loan on monday so these purchases are justified, so I've basically spent about £80 before I've even got it! I've wanted a rose gold watch for absolutely ages so i went with this fossil one :) I'm almost out of my beloved clinique moisturiser so I decided to stock up on another while i can get it cheaper! And i've been wanting to try a MAC lipstick for a while so i decided to go with the Sheen supreme lipstick in 'full speed'  it's actually a really bright pink alothough it looks almost red in the picture above i dont think it's very accurate! Anyway i will be posting about these products once i actually receive them and I will no doubt be doing lots of shopping over the next couple of weeks (HELLO LOAN!!) so i'll have some products to talk about etc. Have a good weekend everyone!

Sabrina the teenage witch!

So I don't normally tend to blog about stuff like this but since it's been consuming so much of my life recently i thought it would be appropriate! I've spent most of my time the past couple of weeks watching Sabrina the teenage witch after downloading seasons 1 -7, it was my absolute favourite show as a child / teen and i only remembered it recently so i downloaded it straight away! It was just as good as i remembered and as i expected I had seen every single episode before! I've just finished all of it now, totalling up to about 175 episodes (and I watched them all in around 2 weeks... as you can see I lead a very busy, interesting life..NOT!).

In conclusion, its definitely one of the greatest tv shows ever made! I've absolutely loved re-watching them all :) I don't think i appreciated the humour as much when I was younger but it's actually comedy gold at times too haha! Salem the talking cat absolutely makes the show as well ha! was anyone else a fan of this when you were younger ? I definitely recommend downloading them / watching them again, such a good show!

Sally Hansen natural butter lip shine.

Sally Hansen Natural Butter Lip Shine - 99p

Whilst browsing on the fragrance direct website the other week for a few bargain bits I spotted this Sally Hansen lip butter it was an absolute bargain at 99p so I thought I'd give it a go. I chose the shade 'lush' it's a very nude shade, I tend to go for pink or coral lip colours and haven't had a nude one in a while so it caught my eye. I'm really impressed with how it looks on, I wasn't expecting it to be as visible as it is with it being such a nude colour. Excuse the odd face I'm pulling on the second photo but here's an example of what it looks like on when I wore it the other night:

As you can see it's not an overpowering colour but I'm really liking it as a subtle colour as it won't be too much for the day time / at work. Anyway, hope everyone is having a lovely Easter weekend!

Garnier Comforting cleansing milk.

I've been using this Garnier simply essentials comforting cleansing milk for around 3weeks now and I really like it as its so kind to my skin, there is never any irritation at all, and it successfully removes all traces of makeup! I usually use about three cotton wool pads when applying the cleanser, one for each of my eyes to remove all eye makeup, and then one for the rest of my face to remove all traces. It has a slight scent but nothing too harsh and uses 'soothing water lily extract', it claims to be suitable for very sensitive skin and i would agree, although my skin isn't overly sensitive it can become irritated, especially around the eye area when I am removing a lot of eye makeup.

Overall I'm impressed with this product, and it's not expensive at all (I think i picked it up for around £1.99 but that may have been an offer!) I've been using it in conjunction with Simple soothing facial toner and my beloved Clinique dramatically different moisturising gel!
